Just thought I should drop you an email to say many thanks for the Sit up for Winter lunge sessions. Also to say the work we did on Wednesday regarding inside & outside muscles on a turn/circle has caused a proper “light bulb” moment today. I mentioned I was having issues with baby pony falling out on a 20m circle in canter (for falling out it should actually read tanking off through outside shoulder complete with pogo action and ending up with a collision with the fence at the other end of the school… well he does like to make a point).

So this morning armed with my “spinning ball” and utterly focused on my inner and outer muscles we cantered beautiful 20m circles on both reins (including the demon left rein)…. cue cheesy grin from jockey. I did say it was me that was being a numpty (although pony could have been a little less dramatic about it to be fair).

So a massive thank you from me (not so much from pony who is doubtless plotting his next move). It was great to be able to spend the sessions entirely focused on what I was doing and not having to think about what the pony was doing/plotting. The little adjustments to position, balance, etc. have really helped.
